IRS Mileage Update:
Due to a rare mid-year update caused by rising fuel prices, the IRS issued two sets of optional standard mileage rates for 2026.

For miles driven on or after July 1, 2026, the updated rates are:

Business: 0.76 per mile
Medical or qualifying moving expenses: 0.235 per mile
Charitable organizations: 0.14 per mile (fixed by statute)

For miles driven between January 1, 2026, and June 30, 2026, the original 2026 rates apply:

Business: 0.725 per mile
Medical or qualifying moving expenses: 0.205 per mile
Charitable organizations: 0.14 per mile
