Since everyone is getting into the Spotify Wrapped mood, I decided to do the same for Greco Career Consulting as 2023 was a fantastic year, and we still have one more year to go!

This year came along with more growth from clients and with my own experiences supporting them. Thank you to all of the amazing clients who trusted their career documents and endeavors with me, and for letting me change the world one cover letter at a time!

For one person working to do all of this, I am proud of the impact made on others in 2023, and look forward to 2024 (and the last month of the year).

For those who need any motivation updating résumés, applying for jobs, or who need motivation in general!

One of the most discouraging things in a job search is receiving automatic rejections. They will happen, and they can hurt morale when they do.

How can you combat it?

1. Utilise applicant tracking system websites to help compare your résumé with the job description (I use Jobscan.co).

2. Ask for feedback! Some recruiters will see this as a way to help support. While some may not respond back, if you don’t ask, the answer is no!

3. Review when you applied for a role! Sometimes, if a position has been open for an extended period of time, the recruiter may be already interviewing candidates, which could cause other candidates to not be considered. Timing can be very important!

4. Be cautious of auto-apply tools. While LinkedIn can make it easy to apply for roles, it’s important to tailor certain phrases, keywords, and experiences for a role.

Don’t ever be afraid to ask for help, and most importantly, DON’T GIVE UP! It takes time!
