Sorry if this caption is word vomit lol I just wanna talk about this
This cosplay is the best thing I've made to date. The amount of people today who said they loved the cosplay, who were impressed that yes, I made a majority of the cosplay. (Not including the shoes, tights and basket.)
Two or three months of work, hours on each piece and detail, so much attention to make sure that everything looked absolutely perfect.
And it was worth every second of it. Because it gave me the confidence to talk to people, to go out and be with people who love cosplay as much as I do.
Ubcon 2026 was amazing. The cosplayers I saw today were absolutely incredible, the vibes immaculate. Everyone was so friendly and having fun.
And not to mention, when I signed up for the craftsmanship contest this year I assumed hey, maybe I'll get third place like I did last year. (Both years fellow contestants were so good! Everyone had such amazingly done cosplays.) But it was beyond my expectations when despite feeling like I probably wouldn't place at all with how absolutely stunning everyone's work was, I did.
And not only that. For the first time in any competition I've entered, I got not only first place but best in show!
Lemme tell you the way I'm now sitting at home sobbing lol (in a good way!)

The finished cosplay along with some progress photos and my reference image! It was an absolute blast to cosplay artist kirby at this year, and for the first time in my life I got a placement in a craftsmanship cosplay contest (3rd place!!!)
So many people instantly knew I was kirby, which after my pompompurin cosplay I was super insecure and scared nobody would know, but I was blown away with how many people asked for my photo/photos with me I cannot express how much fun I had today, I was really really happy. Maybe next year I'll do another kirby cosplay 👀
Also I forgot to get their socials but props to the other kirby cosplayer and kirby character (that I forgot the name of) cosplayer you both were awesome and I am so grateful to have met so many wonderful people today

My favorite kind of thing to do is be characters that may not be recognizable, something more personal to me. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and return to a part of my stash that (while I am not a fan of, I have a lot of) hasn't been used in quite a while. Happy new year everyone! Here's a kinda little pseudo "still alive" post, since the last thing I made to most of my social media's was saying how I'm closing my etsy temporarily.
Just wanted to show that yea I'm still making stuff! It's just going to be a higher focus on craft shows and in person events this year that (while not preferred) is more cost affordable for me during this time due to etsy fees getting absurdly high.
But thanks to those that have carried with me into this new year, here's hoping that despite the world going nuts right now that we all make it through safe and comfortable
