My mother, Betty Jean Grant, is circulating a petition for the Buffalo Bills organization to include No. 32 O.J. Simpson on the team's new Wall of Fame, going up at the new Highmark Stadium. Revising history is always a questionable undertaking, and deleting Simpson's professional accolades is precisely that. He helped elevate the Buffalo Bills to national prominence. His name is still included in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, as well as the College Football Hall of Fame. Retaining O.J. Simpson's name and jersey number on the Wall of Fame at the new Highmark Stadium, in Orchard Park, NY, wouldn't be an endorsement of his off-field life, it would be giving deserved credit where it is due.
