When you locate underground sewers with a camera you need to make sure you are correct and verify readings. You do not want the dig crew digging 8 ft. Down and not finding the sewer.

Ice dams and freezing gutters, downspouts and conductor lines. Then need to be flowing for heat tape to work. Huge ice problems can damage siding gutters and the roofing system. Please test the with a garden hose before winter. Save thousands of dollars in damage.

There's not many codes on bypass valves but truly understanding how they work how you can set them up takes a specific skill especially not to cause cross-contamination with filtered and unfiltered water or chlorinated and non chlorinated water especially if people have pools that they are feeling off the potable water side.
I did some research in the codes have recommendations but nothing clear and precise so if you are getting into an install of a very expensive water filtration system or other systems that need a bypass valve please go to the manufactured website and see what their recommendations are because they do the product testing more than any government and they will help you figure out the best way to use their products

Serious foundation leaks require a professional and a highly skilled waterproofing company or plumbing company that deals with waterproofing. There's multiple parts to this there's dealing with the five gallon a minute of water coming through the wall. Finding out what the problem is where the source of the water. Overflowing gutters bad downspouts, sump pump discharge plugged, storm drain not functioning. Multiple things but also design problems where maybe you need drain tile under the crawl space on the other side of that wall and like a drain pipe into the lower basement over to the sump pit.
Transporting the water away from the foundation walls into a proper storm source is the ultimate goal.

Having the proper hangers on water lines gas lines and especially sewer and drain lines makes a world of difference.
The reason being is because when it gets a little clogged and went down with Gunk or water then it messes up the pitch and the plastic starts to get deformed starts to say and then it becomes clogged more often and the only way is to replace it so please if you do have a line that you could push around with your hand throw a couple hangers on it band iron j hooks not like electrical wire in the one photo that is not stiff enough or proper support.

This is a before and after by changing the fittings and a directional flow of the corner of the drain tile it's much easier for the water to get where it enters under the footer to the sump pump pit and then be pumped out to a storm drain or ditch.

Old Clay drain tiles can be brought back to life by just putting corners in them and jetting them if they're still in good shape I have rehabbed many basements by just hydro jetting the straight pieces and putting corners in very efficient way to keep the basement dry and flowing.

This is a before and after replacement of a hot water tank and gas line. The one on the left is a flexible gas line it's mostly for stoves. The one on the right is black iron with a quarter turn gas valve a union and a drip leg to pick up any particles that are floating in the gas before they go into the gas valve of the hot water tank. The old gas valve was hard to turn and it was behind the furnace so it was not accessible.

Please please please check your sump pump check your mom's sump pump check your grandma's sump pump check your sump pump . for the people don't have a Sump pump check your floor drain in the Buffalo and Niagara falls basements. Put a bucket of water down there, see if they drain they might need to be shop vac out or they might need to be snaked. flooding knocks out the furnace and hot water tank, then you have insurance claiming insurance goes up or you have a big mess. just avoid all that do a little maintenance you know how to get a hold of me if you have any other problems. I have plenty of plumbers in my network that could probably fit you in in a short period of time.
Checking the sump pump is not just rattling it. having a flashlight and looking down in that pit to make sure nothing gets caught in that pump in the bottom or if it's all crossed it up or if it's 5 years old and the float kind of sticks. it's not even worth it just replace it.
