BCC is proud to announce that Lauren Copeland and Jaclyn Atkinson have been elected to the NAWIC Buffalo-Niagara Chapter Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term.

Jaclyn has been reelected to the Board, continuing her dedication and service to the organization and Lauren will be serving her first term. We are excited to see both women represent BCC and help support the advancement of women in the construction industry.

🔩🎉 Beam Signing Celebration at the BPS Commissary Project! 🎉🔩

The BPS Commissary Project recently celebrated a major milestone with a beam signing ceremony.

Once complete, the new commissary will serve as the central facility where meals are prepared to support students throughout Buffalo Public Schools. This project will play an important role in helping provide quality meals to thousands of students across the district.

With completion anticipated in Spring 2027, the project is one step closer to making a lasting impact on the Buffalo community.

Congratulations to the project team, McGuire Development, Kideney Architects, and all other project partners on all they have accomplished so far. We are excited to see this project continue to take shape and look forward to sharing future updates.

BCC recently welcomed ECC students to the Erie 1 BOCES site for an end-of-semester tour! 👷‍♂️🏗️

The students had the opportunity to see a large-scale project in action and learn about the many moving parts involved in construction management, including safety, environmental safety, and managing a project of this size.

Thank you to John O’Hare for helping connect us with the students, along with Jeff Sellers and Dan Dechert for hosting. Shoutout as well to Bob Overhoff and Dani Zientek from our Safety team for joining the tour and sharing their knowledge! 👏

We’d also like to thank Drew Dezak for attending and offering students the perspective of a recent ECC graduate who has now been with BCC for a year.

BCC was honored to participate in the 5/14 Day of Service and Remembrance. 🌱

Our team came together to help renovate the Persistence Preparatory Academy Garden as part of a day focused on remembrance, healing, and giving back to the community. We are incredibly proud to be part of the 5/14 Living Memorial and Healing Center and support its mission to create spaces for reflection, healing, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped make the day so meaningful. A special thank you to Talia Johnson-Huff, Christopher Huff, Lemar Ward, Trey Ward, Stephon Morris, and the Horizon Health team for standing alongside us in service to the community.
