Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the day 250,000 slaves were notified of their freedom, 2.5 years after the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect. NAWBO recognizes the significance of this day as the world continues to confront racism every day. There's still much more work to be done and we'll continue to do our part to bring change, inclusion, and opportunities. Our offices are closed today in observance of the holiday.
