2nd Annual Buffalo Business Crawl

2nd Annual Buffalo Business Crawl The Buffalo Business Crawl is back! We are proud to bring the 2nd Annual Buffalo Business Crawl back to the Larkin District.

Much more than a networking event, the Crawl is an exciting opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services to their targeted clients. Invited guests will be thrilled to take part in this unique experience, meeting senior management of the participating businesses and touring their facilities, while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and samples of local craft beers and regional wines. Las

t year's Crawl was so successful that we want to showcase more of the District's small business community! Guests will gather in the LarkinCenter of Commerce for a brief welcome, some hors d'oeuvres provided by the Larkin Street Cafe and sample some craft beers. Then, using the event map, groups will set off on a self-guided tour of the participating businesses. You'll get a peek inside some of the most interesting and diverse businesses in the most dynamic and fastest-growing neighborhood in Buffalo. Every attendee will receive at least one gift, and those who complete the scavenger hunt will be eligible for additional prize drawings at the end of the Crawl. We'll regroup to wrap up the evening and draw the final prizes.

Next we are showcasing... The largest building in the historic Larkin District of the City of Buffalo: the Larkin Center of Commerce!

At 1.3 Million square feet, this building is home to almost 100 businesses and professional service providers. This extraordinary facility was completed c1906 by the Larkin Company to provide manufacturing, retail and administrative support services for the company. At over 30 acres under roof, comprised of 12 contiguous buildings, it is the largest of the Larkin Company structures.

In October 2010, Seneca Larkin Holdings, LLC., a group led by local developers Peter Krog, Gordon Reger and James Cornell, acquired the facility. Through their companies, The Krog Corporation (www.krogcorp.com), Reger Holdings, LLC. (www.regerholdings.com) and Praxiis, LLC, (www.praxiis.com) this team has developed, repositioned and managed millions of square feet of space throughout the United States with a combined portfolio value well in excess of $1 billion.

Their shared vision for the Larkin Center of Commerce complex has resulted in commencing the first $6 million phase of a project that may ultimately total over $50 million.

- A total refurbishment and restoration of the facade of the complex

- Creation of interior walkways at ground level to facilitate pedestrian access to retailers and service providers

- Restoration of interior light wells and courtyards to provide warm and welcoming venues for meetings and social gatherings

- Creation of over 500,000+ square feet of Class A office space

- Upgrade of building systems and infrastructure to support the most demanding requirements of any user

The Buffalo Business Crawl is proud to be back in Buffalo's 'Larkinville' district! This year's business lineup is poised to build off of last year's success. From now until the day of the Crawl (October 10th), we will showcase each of this year's business sponsors.

First up is Bath and Bliss!

Bath and Bliss (originally named Blue Heron Soap of Niagara) started in 2003 with one goal: provide the best skin care products at the lowest reasonable prices. That goal has not changed.

Back then, they offered only olive oil-based bath soaps. They still make great soap, but now they also offer a range of skin care products intended to keep you healthy and feeling good. They include sugar scrubs, body lotion, massage oil, and lip balm.

Bath and Bliss makes products with your health and the environment in mind. In general, they use only natural materials to make their products, which means animal products and chemical additives aren't used. They also use only high quality products, typically food grade, and never skimp. For example, their products contain a higher percentage of essential oils – often the most expensive ingredient – than most other skin care products.

Come see all that Bath and Bliss has to offer. Ryan Francis and the entire Bath and Bliss crew can't wait to see you at the 2nd Annual Buffalo Business Crawl!

We are excited to announce that Johnson Estate Winery has come on board this year as the Crawl's official wine sponsor!

Grapes have been grown at Johnson Estate in Westfield, NY for well over a century. The winery, established in 1961, is the oldest estate winery in New York State. All of the European and American grapes used to make the estate wines are grown within 3000 feet of the winery and our grape varieties have been selected for their excellent wine-making quality and suitability for the Lake Erie microclimate.

When you arrive at this year's Buffalo Business Crawl, not only will you have the pleasure of tasting some of the best regional wines available, but you will also get the chance to meet owners Fred and Jennifer Johnson!
