We had the best time at the Haven Fall Festival parade this weekend! Haven is just down the road from our Buhler headquarters, so this one felt like a hometown event, and our IdeaTek crew (plus a few of our littlest Freedom Fighters) was excited to be part of it.

Days like this remind us who we’re really doing this work for. The internet connections we provide end up in the homes of people we see all the time: families whose kids go to school with ours and neighbors we bump into at the same grocery store and gas station every week.

Thanks for having us, Haven. See you next year!

This week is for the people on the other end of the line. 💙

They are always there to help, and dedicated to making sure everyone who calls in gets the answers or resolutions they need. They stay patient when the internet isn’t cooperating and calm when a customer is having a rough day.

To our customer service team: thank you. Your care and know-how are a big reason our customers stick with us, and we’re proud to work alongside you.

Has someone on our team helped you out? Drop their name in the comments, and we’ll make sure they see it.

Noticed construction crews, colored flags or fresh dirt in your neighborhood? We're building fiber, and we want you to know exactly what to expect. 🚧

Swipe through for answers to the questions we hear most:
🚩 What do all the flags mean?
📍 What's a utility easement?
🌱 Will my yard be restored?
🔍 Myth vs. fact: Can crews dig anywhere on my property?

Quick tip: If you have private sprinkler lines or an invisible pet fence, marking them helps our crews protect them too.

Short-term construction. Long-term Internet Freedom.

We’re excited to celebrate James Krstolich, who was honored Friday night as the 2026 Young Alumni Award recipient from Wichita State University’s inaugural class of 35 Under 35 honorees! 💛

As Director of Community Partnerships at IdeaTek, James puts his leadership and passion for community to work every day. He truly embodies what Internet Freedom means to us — using his work to make a difference in the communities we serve.

This recognition is so well deserved, James. Congratulations! 🎉

🏁 We have a champion! 🏆

Congratulations to Noah, winner of our Mario Kart competition at the Kansas State Fair! He outraced the field and drove off with a brand-new Nintendo Switch 2 and a copy of Mario Kart World. Well earned, Noah.

A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by the IdeaTek booth. Maybe you grabbed a controller, asked about fiber in your area, or just came to say hi. Either way, you made this year's fair a blast. We loved meeting so many of our neighbors, and we can't wait to see you next year.

We brought the big trucks to Touch-A-Truck Topeka, and you brought the energy! 🚚💙

Kids checked out our bucket trucks, got hands-on with real fiber cable and added their handprints to the Touch-A-Truck banner. Our crew had a blast answering questions about how we build the fiber network that brings Internet Freedom to Kansas communities.

Big thanks to J&S Underground for bringing out their horizontal drill, and to every family who stopped by. Topeka, you made our day!

Our door-to-door team is usually headed in a million different directions, knocking on doors in communities across Kansas. On Monday, they were all under one roof at our Wichita office, bringing their trademark fun energy to the space.

This crew is often the first face people meet from IdeaTek. They're out there in every kind of weather, one conversation at a time, and they bring a great attitude to every door. We appreciate their effort and the way they represent us. Thank you, team!

And good news: there's room for more. 👀 We're currently hiring Residential Door-to-Door Sales Representatives, with no traditional sales background required. If you're coachable, competitive and love meeting new people, we'll train you.

Help us bring Internet Freedom to more Kansas homes! Visit https://brnw.ch/21x5VJQ and tag someone in the comments who you think would make a great addition to our team.
