With all the rain we’ve been getting lately, you may start noticing piles of these little winged bugs around patios, sidewalks, driveways and porches.

They’re desert termites, also known as agricultural termites. Unlike the termites that can damage your home, these guys feed mainly on dead or stressed grass and roots. Heavy rain can bring them out of the ground all at once, which is why they suddenly seem to be everywhere.

They may look alarming, but they’re generally harmless to your home and landscape. Mostly, they’re just messy and temporary!

🌧️ Lots of rain = lots of activity.

Scorpions, spiders and ants moving inside? No thank you. 😂🦂🕷️🐜

As the temperatures start to change, pests start looking for a cozy place too. Let Johnny Blue’s Four Seasons Pest Control help make sure that place isn’t your house!

🍁 Local. Family-owned. No contracts.

🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget.

September 11, 2001 is one of those days when so many of us remember exactly where we were when we heard the news.

I know I do.

I was sitting in front of a customer’s home, writing an estimate in my vehicle, when I heard it on the radio. I remember trying to process what I was hearing and realizing that our country, and our lives, had changed in an instant.

And I remember one overwhelming thought: I just wanted to get home and hug my babies.

Twenty-five years later, that memory is still so clear.

Today, we remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, sacrifice and kindness that followed.

We also remember how, in the days that followed, Americans came together. We checked on our neighbors. We hugged our families a little tighter. We flew our flags. We remembered what it meant to stand together.

Never forget. 🇺🇸

Where were you when you first heard about the attacks on September 11, 2001?

From all of us at Johnny Blue’s Four Seasons Pest Control, we remember and honor them today. ❤️🤍💙

WHAT ARE THESE WINGED BUGS LAYING AROUND EVERYWHERE AFTER THE RAINS?

Desert termites, also known as agricultural termites, they aren’t the kind that eat on the wood of your home.

They do not cause damage to plants or structures. They feed on dead and stressed grass and roots. They get flushed out of the ground during heavy rain fall. Harmless but a little messy!

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Johnny Blue’s Four Seasons Pest Control! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the communities we serve, and the time spent with family and friends. We hope your day is filled with laughter, great food, and memories that last a lifetime.

As we celebrate, we’re also keeping the families affected by the Kerrville floods last year in our thoughts. Holidays can be especially difficult for those who are missing loved ones or rebuilding after tragedy. We honor the lives that were lost and continue to pray for the survivors, first responders, and everyone whose lives were forever changed.

May today remind us to cherish the people around us, lend a helping hand when we can, and never take a single moment for granted.

From our family to yours, have a safe, happy, and meaningful Fourth of July. God bless you, and God bless America. ❤️🤍💙
