Full removal of 25“ diameter x 80‘ tall red oak tree. Rope access used for work positioning. No boom lift or crane access. Majority of crown required lowering, using other parts of crown. Lowered approx one-foot sections of trunk, weighing 210-250 lbs, using 240-foot long highline above.

Bridging the narrow gap on the Woodland Ledge System. Bridge is 35 feet off of the ground. White Oak harvested for project. Positioning of log via lowering, raising, and lateral movement. Descriptions per most individual images.

Project completed Dec. 31, 2015. Finally got around to posting the rest of the images.

The bridge would not look like it does had they not been involved. Thanks also to Dustin Wheetley for custom milling of lumber, and to Jeffrey Frizzell for carrying it over to the raising station! And thanks to Jim Thurmond for his help here and there, especially with log positioning earlier on.

Pin oak, full take-down. Tree fully enclosed by deck. Circular bench against entire perimeter of trunk. Greenhouse with glass wall and ceiling beneath crown of tree. Slate sidewalk, shrubs, decorative landscaping, and house also beneath tree. No open zone for tossing cut material. 100% of tree, including trunk sections required controlled lowering by rope. Tandem high lines used for work positioning and lowering trunk in pieces. Trunk weight at 30 feet height = 125 lbs per linear foot. All lowering of branches controlled from work position in tree.
