We've been a little busy! We removed, cleaned and reinstalled 48 double pane glass units in this really cool house that uses the clear glass units and black wall to heat their water and also helps to heat their home.

These glass units were originally manufactured and installed back in the early 1980s by Roy's Glass Service Inc.
Tony Johnson actually made most of them at the glass shop and helped to install these in this home.

The home owner has had them removed, cleaned and reinstalled multiple times over the years. He has this done so that he can clean behind the glass and repaint the wall black. It's basically maintenance to keep the system working as it was designed to.

This was my second time helping Tony on this project. It is quite the job! We set up scaffolding for the top glass units.

Oh and it was hot and humid almost every day we were there! Good news, it all went well and mission accomplished!

The final window that's boarded up in the picture has been completed at Happy Retreat ( Charles Washington's home) in Charles Town, WV.

It's definitely bitter sweet completing the glazing work there. I am honored to work on such an historical property.

If you ever get a chance to tour the house and attend any events there please do so. It's an amazing place of historical value. It takes a lot of work and money to restore these historical landmarks so please donate if you are able to.

Here's some pics of my granddaughter, Laila exploring the property with me and my wife, Deanna Earman Johnson the week before the work was completed.

Hope you all enjoy these pics and my past videos of the window glazing restoration project over the past five months.
