I would like to give a huge shout out & Thanks to the men & women who showed up to assist us with the structure fire on B hwy. It was not only extremely hot due to the excessive heat but the structure fire intensified it. I am beyond thankful to serve in a brotherhood of such selfless individuals willing to put their own safety & health at risk for the sake of others. Forever Grateful for each & every one of you!!! Please keep the family that lost their home in your prayers as they navigate through this loss.

Update: July 10, 9:45 p.m.

Catastrophic flash flooding continues to impact parts of Crawford, Reynolds, and Iron counties after more than 12 inches of rain fell in the region.

In the past 12 hours, 351 people have been rescued. This includes all staff and campers from Camp Taum Sauk, who have been safely evacuated and are now being reunited with their families.

Many roads have been washed out or remain covered by floodwater and are impassable. Please check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map for current road closures and travel conditions:
