Know How Your Project Will Impact the Grid Before You Inject Power

Before connecting a new project, it’s important to understand how different injection levels could affect the existing network under normal operation and potential contingencies.

CIR’s Grid Injection Analysis (ETAP Model Scenarios) uses an optimized system network model to evaluate project impacts across multiple injection scenarios.

CIR is proud to support the College of Science and Technology (CST), Royal University of Bhutan, under the STAR-C initiative of the International Solar Alliance, in strengthening technical capacity for Bhutan’s growing clean energy sector.

Our own Kruti Jani, Senior Design Engineer at CIR, led the technical sessions, bringing CIR’s practical engineering experience into the room. The program went beyond PVsyst modelling to cover the engineering principles behind PVsyst, global renewable energy market trends, technical and economic considerations for PV modules and inverters, solar plant design and performance analysis, energy yield assessment, project optimization, and the application of advanced simulation parameters for project economic evaluation. Through hands-on modelling and real-world engineering perspectives, Kruti helped 22 engineers and energy professionals connect technical analysis with practical project and investment decisions.

The inaugural session was attended by Ms. Sucheta Chatterjee, Consul General of India in Phuentsholing, along with Dr. Cheki Dorji, Senior Academician, Royal University of Bhutan; Mr. Saurabh Motiwala, Solar Expert, ISA; and Dr. Sangay Pasang, Officiating President, CST, as well as faculty members and program participants.

The program marks an important step in STAR-C Bhutan’s training pathway, progressing from foundational technician-level programs to professional-level capacity building in solar energy technology.

For CIR, being part of this program is an opportunity to share our engineering expertise, industry perspective, and practical project experience with the professionals helping shape Bhutan’s solar future.

Simplify the Title Review Process with Expert RFP Management
