The Des Moines County Regional Solid Waste Commission has openings for a full-time recycling processor position and a sorter/collector position. Both positions involve manual labor, working in all weather conditions outside. Applicants should also be capable of independent judgment and be available to work flexible hours. Weekends are required for the processor position and knowledge of operating skid loader and fork lift preferred.
Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background check, physical and drug test. Competitive Wages and Benefits including IPERS. Applications and full job description can be picked up at Area Recyclers 1818 West Burlington Avenue, Burlington, IA

We hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend! Remember tomorrow (Monday) all departments are closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The week of 9/6 finds our recycling collection crews visiting Burlington area neighborhoods. Note that Monday's route was collected last Friday, so if you missed that please either bring your items to our drop off at Area Recyclers or add them the next Burlington Monday route on 9/21.
