My scores for the day!

I did not see until last night that Moon Flour Bakery & Treats tagged me in a post that her bbq & cheddar sourdough bread was made with Bigfoot Bbq Sauce so I had to go buy a loaf to try. I can't wait to try it tonight😋🥖

I was out in Phillips delivering bbq sauce so I decided to stop at the Farmer's Market going on at the park. Just Clint's is there and I've been wanting to get one of his shirts. If you haven't tried his products run on down to the Farmer's Market and grab some because they are delicious.

I picked up a couple of hanging baskets at the farmers market so now the wife wants to go get a couple more. Nice day for a drive🙂

Time to promote a small local business... Northwoods Supper Club in Fifield!

This was our first time dining there for supper, and it definitely won't be our last. We've been there before for a Flambeau Area Sportsmen's Club event, but that was a buffet. This was our first time ordering from the menu

We started with the deep-fried mushrooms. We expected small mushrooms, but these were huge! You get 9 of them, and they were absolutely delicious.
My wife ordered the 10-piece shrimp dinner with a potato pancake, and I had the 3-piece deep-fried cod with fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.

Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
Great food, great service, and a great Northwoods atmosphere. If you're in the area, be sure to check them out. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We'll definitely be back! 👍

June is Men's Health Month!

In 2020, I was diagnosed with Mycosis Fungoides, a rare form of blood cancer known as Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma (CTCL). It's a cancer that shows up on the skin, and while it can be treated, it is considered incurable.
I was one of the lucky ones.
I noticed two small red dots on my leg and decided to get them checked out. Within a month, I was diagnosed at Stage 1A, which meant the disease was caught extremely early. Because of that, I've been able to live a normal life and avoid chemotherapy or other aggressive treatments. A topical steroid ointment cleared up my skin, but the cancer itself will always be there.

Mycosis Fungoides is incredibly rare, affecting only a few people per million each year. It accounts for about 70% of all Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphomas and occurs nearly twice as often in men as in women.
What started as two tiny red spots eventually turned into rashes that spread across my entire body, looking like a severe sunburn. The rashes didn't hurt much unless clothing rubbed against my skin, but they became so extensive that I was off work for nearly four months. Just when I thought things were improving, my skin began peeling everywhere like a bad sunburn. I had no idea what was happening and, honestly, I was scared.
Thankfully, after treatment, the rashes disappeared and have never returned.
The reason I'm sharing this is simple:
If you notice something unusual with your health, get it checked out.
Don't panic. But don't ignore it.

I've seen what happens when people wait too long. A neighbor of my dad's, Wayne, kept saying he didn't feel right. My dad repeatedly told him to see a doctor. When he finally went, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. He fought for five years before losing that battle.
Cancer has taken my dad, two aunts, an uncle, my grandfather, friends, and far too many others. The list is longer than it should be.
Early detection saves lives.
Advanced Mycosis Fungoides and Sézary Syndrome have significantly lower survival rates than early-stage disease. Most patients aren't diagnosed until after age 50.

So please, if something feels off, make the appointment. Get the test. Ask the questions.
Your health is worth it.
