Imagine a washer that actually fills up with water, or a dishwasher that doesn’t run for 3 hours. I know, it goes both ways, but there has to be some common sense middle ground.

Someone sent me this awesome picture of my great grandfather Adolphe Gallant from 1910. That’s him on the step at the front of the car.
Adolphe and his wife Alice raised 10 boys and 4 girls in a little home on Pennell Street in Westbrook.

We've been forced to drop another brand.
We will no longer be servicing GE or Hotpoint appliances.
Their quality has unfortunately fallen to 'disposable' status.
Part availability and pricing along with the severity of failures has rendered service attempts to be futile. I haven't saved one yet.
Rather than charge you for a service call just to tell you that you need a new machine, I'll nip it in the bud and save us both the aggravation. If it's out of warranty, you need a new one.
GE recently announced plans to move their Chinese washing machine production back to Kentucky, which gives me hope for the future, but they need to completely retool and leave the Chinese technology over there. We'll have to wait and see.
For now, they're fighting for last place on my preference list.
Reminder: Don't buy appliances from a lumber store.

I've been saying to anyone who might listen that now would be a perfect time for all of the Appliance manufacturers to stop selling overseas garbage and have a massive Retro Classic Rebirth here in the U.S.A.
Let's hope this is the first step with many more to follow.
