When giving barn tours, we are often asked, who is your favorite horse? My answer is always, it depends on the day 🤣

Each horse here serves a purpose and is incredibly unique in their own way. They all possess many characteristics, some more desirable than others 😉

✨The little girls who once dreamed of driving the big hitches, now best friends, and earning top 2 in 3 driving classes at the Boone County Fair. ✨

Draft horses have brought us so many great friends and even better competition that push us to be better everyday. Though we were extremely happy the with last drives, there is always something to improve for the next time ☺️

Today we welcomed a very special lady into the barn! Linda gave Emma and Maya riding lessons and sold us one of our first horses, Lucky 11 years ago. We thank her for getting us started on our horse ownership journey! 💚

We sure do love pampering these boys to get ready for shows, but nothing beats watching them in a pasture in their “everyday clothes” 💚💚

The shoe cart is full once again!

From about April to now, the show horses have shoes on to protect their feet and enhance their movement. We find it very beneficial to take their shoes off in the off season, when possible, to let their foot grow a little more naturally. The transition from having shoes to being barefoot takes a little bit as we want their foot to harden up, so the show horses will have the next month or two off! We are lucky to have a very talented farrier to help us keep the boys feeling good year round!
