She knows she should raise her prices. She's been sitting at the same number for two years anyway.

It has nothing to do with the math. The higher price means risking objections, risking people saying no, risking somebody deciding she's greedy or selfish or full of herself. So she stays put and calls it a pricing question.

We say we want the business that earns a million dollars, and then we quietly leave the prices alone. 😅

I got called into my director's office because I went to Toastmasters on my lunch break.

I had invited my faculty colleagues along, thinking how fun it would be to get better at speaking together. A few of them decided that if I had time for that, my workload must be lighter than everyone else's. 😅

I spent years after that making sure everyone knew how busy I was.

One of the women in Alaska jumped into 45 degree water carrying a fear she had held since childhood. When she climbed back out, she said she felt completely exhilarated, like she was on top of the world.

Here is what I keep noticing about fear. Underneath almost all of it is one quiet question. I don't know if I can handle this.

And then you decide in the moment that you can handle it, you do the thing, and you feel like a different woman on the other side. That was the whole week in one moment.

Kellie Johnson wanted to move to Alaska for twenty years. Two decades of holding a picture of her life somewhere else.

She went into her identity session already feeling something shift, and the session amplified it. What she saw was that Alaska had been reflecting a piece of herself back to her the whole time, and that was why she wanted to live there so badly.

She owned that piece during the session. And the twenty year dream is gone. She does not want to move there anymore. She just wants to visit.

She learned a lot about herself that week. She also healed a lot of things she had been carrying for a long time, and she called the whole experience relieving.

I talk to a lot of women about this one. Somewhere along the way we decided that spending time and money on ourselves needs a permission slip.

I shouldn't leave my family for a week. I shouldn't invest that much in me. I hear both of those constantly, and underneath them is a quiet belief that everyone else's needs come first.

Here is the question I keep asking. Are you not a different woman after a week like that? And is your family not getting the benefit of who you are now?
