Hi, my name is Sara and I'm a millennial addicted to knitting. I always struggled with traditional knitting with the two needles, it was always getting too tight or I was dropping stitches... One day freshman year of college I returned to my dorm room to find my roommate had received knitting looms as a Christmas gift. Hello!

My name is Sara and anyone who knows me knows I knit a lot! Anyway, I'm loving the idea of these classic Norwegian hats as a symbol of resistance and protest of the current administration.

I know not everyone can knit and those who can't might be wondering how they can get a hat. I wanted to make this group in an attempt to bring knitters together with the people who want hats. So please, feel free to post if you are wanting a hat or if you are able to make hats.

Knit up a bunch of pumpkins for Saturday!
On Saturday I will be teaming up with my friend Aubrey over at Tui Crochet Creations and we will be having a booth at the Leaf River Market from 3pm until 7pm outside at the Bertolet Park!
Along with my usual assortment of hats, scarves and headbands I will have pumpkins, bottle koozies, and scrunchies.
Can't wait to see you there!

This might be my favorite thing I have ever made. And now that it has been gifted to my friend for her birthday I can share it with all of you! I have been wanting to do a nature themed color work for quite some time and I finally got around to it. I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out 😃

Finished the sweater for my friend awhile ago and just got to give it to her today! She really liked the sweater I knit so I made her one but made the back more intricate.

Merry Christmas to me! I got myself yarn and let me open it early because some assembly was required 😁
This is the most complicated sweater I have ever knit without following a pattern. It isn't perfect but I love it anyway!

Having fun this weekend practicing my stranded knitting. I have only done a couple of stranded projects before and I needed some thing simple to work on while I watch TV. Using scraps and making it up as I go. Hopefully I have enough yarn in these colors to make a scarf!

I have not posted in a long time! I am not actively trying to sell my knitting, just been doing personal projects but fall is coming up so if you want something custom made let me know.
I may be busy trying to fix up my house but I have still found time to knit multiple shawls. One of my house projects is redoing the landscaping around my house. As my reward for cleaning it all up I intend to buy a fire pit this fall. I want to be nice and cozy by a fire wrapped in knit items!
Also, here is a picture of my couch companion on this extremely hot and muggy day.

I have been thinking that I need glasses for awhile now. This project finally broke me down and I went to the eye doctor, I was right. I probably wouldn't have put it off so long if I realized it takes 2 weeks for glasses to arrive! 🤦🏼‍♀️
One week of waiting down, one week to go.
I think it is the texture of the yarn and the lack of color contrast between the yarn and my needles that finally did me in.
This is going to be a large rectangle shaped wrap. I wanted something with a little lace detail that didn't need a border in order to not roll. I found this Eyelet Rib stitch pattern in a stitch dictionary. I'm loving it so far, let's hope that is still true after I get my glasses and can actually see it 🤣
