Every client is a face behind a story. Sometimes a story we will never know. But, on those special and rare occasions, we are reminded that while we offer a service and some TLC to an instrument, it’s so much more than that.

A sweet client had us out to tune his piano because his grown kids were coming home for the holidays!

Memories of them all home came so clear to him that he was cleaning up the old family home, tuning the baby grand piano for more beautiful memories made around it, and decorating this home that hadn’t been filled for the holidays in a long while. A twinkle in his eye and excitement in his step! He was so proud to share the plans he had for his home and his family being together again!

Sometimes we just tighten strings to bring a more pleasant sound and keep the piano in good condition.

Sometimes we get to play a tiny part in making the holiday season magical again.

Proud and thankful to be part of your lives and welcomed in your homes!

Music evokes memories.

Memories of four and five generations gathering around the piano, the world still and quiet, as you sing silent night together, complete with harmonies.

Or the memories of a wee little one climbing into your lap as you softly play.

Or maybe seeing, and hearing, someone in the final stages of Alzheimer’s being able to sing a full song that you heard them sing for many years.

Screens and Spotify are the norm these days, but let’s not forget the beauty of gathering around the piano and just being together.

An acoustic piano needs regular care if it is going to work well. If a piano has gone five or ten years without being tuned, then tuning it once won't be enough. Pianos get set in their ways as they age. A piano that hasn't been tuned in a long time will go out of tune again very quickly.

Tuning a piano doesn’t just involve making it sound nice. In fact, tuning a piano will make it last longer.

Over time, strings within the piano can stretch and move, causing the piano to go out of tune. This means that the tension exerted on the frame is not even, as the strings have moved slightly.

A non-tuned piano will not only sound pretty horrible, but in fact it can also inhibit your musical development.

Let’s schedule your piano tuning today so your holiday music is actually music to your ears instead of those faces we all make when something sounds bad!
