Survey Summary:
Trees were snapped and rooted and numerous large limbs were
downed. Two electrical transmission line cross members were
broken. A swath of straight line winds accompanied the tornadic
circulation across far eastern Webster County, far northern
Hopkins County, and across southern McLean County and the
community of Livermore with tree damage.

Survey Summary:
Extensive tree damage along the path of the tornado, including
snapped tree trunks and uprooted trees. Two homes suffered
significant damage when trees fell onto them. Other homes
suffered shingle and fascia damage. A few power poles were
damaged.

A PDS WATCH MEANS: PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION Tonight. Please make plans and have things in order just in case of a Tornado Warning takes affect for our area. Weather sirens are for people that are outside that need to take cover. Tune into your local weather station whether it be by TV, Radio, or a weather radio.

Breezy south winds, low relative humidity values, and dry vegetation will lead to an elevated risk for wildfires this afternoon, mainly between noon and 7 PM. Outdoor burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are discouraged.

Tomorrow March 4th is the State Wide tornado drill happening at 9:07 am. NOAA Weather is setting the tornado sirens off at that time. Please try and participate and use your plan for the drill. If you don’t have a plan, please think about where you need to go in your home to remain safe during an actual tornado warning.

McLean County citizens:
With the bad weather coming in over the weekend, there will be warming stations throughout the County. These facilities are not shelters. There is no food available or sleeping areas in these warming stations.

Please stay safe during these frigid temperatures. Stay inside if possible. Be very careful if you have to shovel snow in the upcoming temperatures.

Unusually low temperatures are also expected to settle in over the area until sometime next week. Not only can this slow the snow and ice removal process, it can also create additional hazards for motorists. All drivers are urged to keep an emergency car kit in their vehicle if they will be traveling during winter weather.
Emergency Car Kit Suggested Items for Drivers
• First aid kit
• Extra coat, gloves, and blankets or sleeping bag
• Non-perishable food and water
• Baby formula, diapers, wipes
• Flashlight with extra batteries
• Portable phone chargers
• Pet food, water, leash, bowl
• Medications
• Ice scraper and jumper cables
• Shovel, and a bag of sand or litter
What To Do if Traffic Signals Are Not Working:
• Flashing yellow, proceed with caution
• Flashing red, treat as a stop sign
• No signal lights, treat as a 4-way stop
What To Do When a Downed Power Line Is on the Roadway:
• Never touch or drive over a fallen power line; report the issue to the power company.
• If a power line has fallen on your vehicle, STAY INSIDE, do not exit, and call 911.
• Assume all downed power lines are live and DO NOT attempt to move.

* WHAT...Heavy snow. A band of 8 to 13 inch accumulations across
parts of southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, southwest Indiana
and western Kentucky. 6 to 10 inches in other locations across
southern Illinois and far southwest Kentucky. Periods of heavy
sleet in far southeast Missouri and western Kentucky with freezing
rain mixed in. Some sleet accumulation and up to a light glaze of
freezing rain.

* WHERE...All southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From midnight CST /1 AM EST/ Friday Night to 6 PM CST /7 PM
EST/ Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and may become impossible
at times. Extreme cold will exacerbate the danger.

Citizens of Sacramento, the tornado siren at the Sacramento Fire Department is currently not working. The siren up behind Camron’s store is working. If you are outside you should be able to hear it or make sure your weather radio is working for tonight. Currently the tri-state area is under a tornado watch.
