Once a coach whom I hired told me I’m ‘not 100k material’. And I paid £4k to hear that. 😵💫
It was meant to be a long-term coaching container, but it’s probably no surprise that I walked away shortly afterwards.
At the time, I chose myself.
I chose my own conviction over someone else’s opinion.
But looking back, I can see how easily that moment could have become a verdict.
A ceiling.
A story I carried.
Imagine if I’d believed it.
I wouldn’t have built the business I have today.
I wouldn’t have hosted the retreats, created the experiences, worked with the clients I’ve worked with, or met the version of myself who continues to expand, evolve and surprise me.
Because that’s the thing.
The biggest limitations in our lives rarely arrive as limitations.
They arrive as someone else’s certainty.
Someone else’s assessment of what’s possible for us.
And if we’re not careful, we mistake it for truth. In short: we believe it.
This is why self-trust matters.
Not the loud, performative kind.
The quiet kind.
The kind that backs itself before there’s evidence.
The kind that keeps moving when other people can’t see the vision yet.
Yes, I teach strategy.
I love strategy.
But I’ll be the first to tell you that strategy is never where it starts.
We go first.
Our energy goes first.
Our decisions go first.
Our belief goes first.
Everything we create exists in our mind before it exists in reality.
The question is:
Whose voice are you listening to when you’re deciding what’s possible for your life?
