I quite literally would not be able to function if it werenât for my structures I currently have in place.
If youâre like me:
Working a normal 9-5, 8-4, 7-7âŚ.whatever it may be..and youâre running business(es)⌠then you probably know all too well what itâs like to keep track of numerous to-doâs and tasks.
Iâm already the type of person that has to have my grocery list for the week written down before Monday, my house chores written on a whiteboard, and I KNOW if I didnât write it downâŚitâs probably going to be forgotten or overlooked.
My tips for staying on track and keeping ahead of my schedule include:
đš Planners for each category
đš Realistic time blocks integrated into each planner
đš Whiteboards around the home in different rooms (Kitchen whiteboard = family and home life) (Office whiteboard = small biz and day job priorities for the day)
đš Calendars for each category (small biz, home life, day job)
If I know I need to do something, I write it down. Period.
When scheduling clients, itâs so important to maintain professionalism by not cross scheduling.
But itâs also important to reflect on how much youâre truly taking on alone.
When every âto-doâ or task is written down, youâre able to look at each area of your life to determine what time blocks in each hour, day, week, month, etc. are available, flexible, or non-negotiable.
Sound too extra or like too much?
