We are thrilled to welcome Robert Smith as our new Director of Digital Development and Design! 🎉

Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc. proudly announces the appointment of Robert Smith as the Director of Digital Development and Design. In his new role, Robert will lead projects, technically aligned staff, and support the development of business reporting directly to Larisa Funk, Executive Vice President of Sierra. Robert’s extensive experience and leadership acumen will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying a robust solutions for our DoD clients.

Robert brings over 30 years of both military and government service to the Sierra family. His career included many highly technical positions and accomplishments that relied heavily on his in-depth knowledge of NAVAIR’s complex business systems. His technical skills coupled with his extremely entrepreneurial spirit, enabled Robert to achieve accomplishments like the establishment of AIRWorks and Reliability Control Boards (RCB). Prior to these notable accomplishments he worked in Metrology, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, Research & Intelligence, and as the NAWCAD’s Director of Research & Engineering. His last position before retiring was as NAWCAD’s Command Performance Metrics and Data Analytics lead.

With Robert’s extensive experience and deep expertise in tackling complex challenges, Robert is a proven leader in creating solutions that drive organizational success. His leadership and results-oriented approach will undoubtedly be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve at Sierra Management & Technologies. Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc. proudly announces the appointment of Erin Patton as Director of Human Resources. In her new role, Erin will lead Sierra's Human Resources Department, reporting directly to Keith Nixon, President of Sierra. Erin’s extensive experience and strategic acumen will play a pivotal role in navigating complex HR challenges. She will streamline HR processes, enhance employee satisfaction, and contribute to the long-term success of the organization. Erin will play a key role in shaping our company culture and fostering a positive workplace for all.

Erin brings over 20 years of experience in the HR field, including 15 years with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), where she served as an HR Knowledge Advisor and editor of SHRM’s HR resources. Her career also includes impactful work as the HR Director for a nonprofit behavioral health agency in Southern Maryland, where she helped build the HR department from the ground up.

With her SHRM-SCP certification and deep expertise in navigating complex compliance issues, Erin is a proven leader in creating efficient HR systems that drive organizational success. Her practical, results-oriented approach will undoubtedly be invaluable as we continue to grow and evolve at Sierra Management & Technologies. Rob Lawrence, Military Outreach Director, FL, presented The Army Military Employee Patriot Award to Sierra’s Central Kitting Activity (CKA) Program Manager, Tim McMurtray. Tim's exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to supporting the military and veteran community made him a deserving recipient of the Army Military Employee Patriot Award. Dorion Belton, General Clerk III at CKA and Army Reservist First Sergeant, nominated Tim for this award highlighting Tim's efforts to ensure a positive work environment for military employees, as well as his proactive approach in understanding the needs of service members and veterans within the organization. His outstanding contributions to supporting both the CKA team and the Army Reserve community made Tim a role model for others and a true advocate for those who serve in the military.

Dorion wrote in her nomination “Tim truly deserves to be recognized for his dedication to supporting our military and veterans. At Sierra Management and Technologies, our commitment to excellence extends beyond delivering cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

We are proud to support Three Oaks Center, an organization dedicated to providing services to homeless individuals and families in our community, with a special focus on supporting our Veterans. This holiday season, we were honored to help make a difference by providing gifts to the children in two families in need. Thanks to the generosity and teamwork of our incredible staff, we were able to ensure there were presents under the tree for these families who are facing challenging circumstances.
