Three Steeds is back, with a new vintage and a reason close to our hearts. 🍷🐴

First created to commemorate the opening of Tamber Bey in 2013, Three Steeds returns with the 2023 vintage, a Napa Valley red blend from our Deux Chevaux Vineyard in Yountville.

This release also gives back! We’re donating a portion of every bottle to three organizations that have long been part of the Tamber Bey community: Sunrise Horse Rescue, Giant Steps Therapeutic Equestrian Center, and Friends of Napa County Animal Shelter. We’re happy to have Three Steeds back in the cellar and even happier to share what this release will support!

Your horse, painted by hand on a rare Tamber Bey library magnum. 🍷🐴

We’re introducing a new collaboration with Napa Valley artist Blake Barrios, known for his signature hand-painted w**e bottles.

Send us a favorite photograph of your horse, choose your w**e and vintage, and Blake will create an original portrait directly on the glass. Each is painted by hand, signed by the artist, and never repeated. A meaningful keepsake that brings together horses, w**e, and art in a way that feels right at home at Tamber Bey!

While the Napa Valley heat lingers, there’s still plenty of time for a chilled bottle of Sauvignon Blanc!

Our 2024 Sauvignon Blanc from Lake County is bright and refreshing, with notes of Bartlett pear, lemon zest, ripe kiwi, honeysuckle, lemongrass, and green mango. Cold-fermented entirely in stainless steel, it keeps its crisp acidity and expressive fruit front and center.

Pour it alongside late-season tomatoes and fresh goat cheese, shellfish, roast chicken, or one of those last dinners off the grill. A bottle that still feels right while the afternoons are warm and the evenings start arriving a little earlier. 🥂

Harvest season is when all the vineyard work of the year starts to show. 🍇

We’re making our way through harvest at Tamber Bey, from our vineyards in Yountville and Oakville to partner vineyards in Pope Valley, Lake County, and the Sonoma Coast. Each site brings its own growing conditions and grape varieties, which means each one reaches the crush pad on its own schedule.

From the first clusters picked to the last bins brought through the w**ery, harvest is about paying attention, trusting the timing, and knowing when the fruit is ready.

Meet the w**emaker behind our 2024 Pinot Noirs: Hayley Bowman. 🍷

Hayley has been part of the Tamber Bey team for years as our Director of W**ery Operations, but the 2024 vintage brought a new chapter: her first vintage leading the w**emaking for our Pinot Noir program.

A Sonoma County native, Hayley studied W**e Business and Marketing at Sonoma State University before working her first harvest and catching the w**emaking bug. More than a dozen harvests followed, including two seasons in Australia and New Zealand, before her path eventually brought her to Tamber Bey.

Her 2024 vintage includes the first release of our Hallberg Vineyard Pinot Noir, which was recently scored 94 points by Owen Bargreen. We’re looking forward to sharing more about Hayley, her experience, and her approach to these w**es!

The latest reviews from Owen Bargreen are in, with 95 points for both our 2024 UV Vineyard Pinot Noir and 2023 Oakville Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, and 94 points for our first release of the 2024 Hallberg Vineyard Pinot Noir!

The recognition is especially meaningful as the 2024 Pinot Noirs mark Hayley Bowman’s first vintage as Tamber Bey’s official Pinot Noir w**emaker.

We’re especially proud to see three distinct vineyard sites represented in these scores, and grateful for the recognition of w**es our team has put so much care into.

Ever wonder what guides our w**emaking at Tamber Bey? With harvest underway, there’s no better time to take you behind the cellar doors. 🍇

W**emaker Sally Johnson Blum and our w**emaking team give each vineyard, varietal, and vintage the individual attention it deserves. Grapes are harvested by hand, gently destemmed, and optically sorted to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Individual vineyard blocks are fermented separately, while precise temperature control and careful cap management allow Sally and the team to respond to the nuances of each vintage.

Our intention remains simple: preserve what makes each vineyard and vintage distinct.
