☀️ SUMMER IN A BOTTLE — FROM CARNEROS TO CALISTOGA 🍷

Wine Talk is back at Maria Concetto Winery, and this time we’re tasting our beautiful new 2025 Sauvignon Blanc from Los Carneros.

Carneros is cooled by morning fog and the nearby San Pablo Bay, making it one of Napa Valley’s coolest wine-growing regions — famous for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but also capable of producing a seriously refreshing Sauvignon Blanc.

And this one? It smells like summer.

HARVEST IS ALREADY HERE IN NAPA VALLEY — and 2026 is shaping up to be anything but ordinary.

We took a quick vineyard road trip from Maria Concetto Winery in Calistoga to see firsthand what’s happening with this year’s grapes.

🔥 An unusually warm start to the growing season
🌧️ Heavy spring rains
🍇 Smaller berries and clusters
⏰ An accelerated growing season
🥂 Some grapes for sparkling wines already being harvested
🍷 Reds expected to arrive earlier than usual

The crop may be smaller, but the grapes we tasted are beautifully sweet with wonderful flavor development.

And this is one of the most exciting times to experience Napa Valley. Harvest is underway, grapes are coming in, and soon the air will carry that unmistakable aroma of fermentation.
