As the season has changed since I stepped back on a rig, so have I. I am more humbled, more appreciative, in better shape and I am right where I need to be. Down 36lbs and in the process of getting my knees fixed, better days absolutely lie ahead.

I have followed Texas High School sports since the mid 90’s. As I drive through small towns, in any state, I look for these signs. It makes me feel like I’m taking in a little bit of that towns history. Many of these signs have their academic accomplishments listed as well. After all these years I must say, I never knew you could win a State Championship for “Keyboarding”. Now I have soooo many questions. Is there an All-State Team? What does it take to be the MVP? Do they have a ring?

After a four year vacation I have made my return to the oilfield. I am not in a Directional position but instead on a drilling rig. Due to reasons explained by my employer I will not say who they are.
I completed my first hitch. In my mid 40s, I can tell you it was quite refreshing. A wake up call for my body. I broke out on a power rig in 2005. My journey has come full circle.

It’s been a minute since I posted last. I have spent the last four years in a different industry.
I am now making the move back to the field. It was like getting mad at a family member and not talking to them for a while. Just to realize they are family and that’s where you belong.
