Great opportunity to see the tremendous value that CTE provides local students! This helps train and keep the many talented students we have right here in the Copper Country!

Join us this Thursday, April 23rd, for the CCISD Career and Technical Education Open House, from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at either the Career Tech Campus in Hancock or the KBOCC Campus in L'Anse.

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., there will be an informational presentation, followed by an opportunity to explore the campus, meet CTE staff and learn more about the upcoming millage renewal request on May 5th.

Mark your calendars! This Friday, the 20th of February (5:30 PM to 7:30 PM); the 2026 CopperDog In-person Volunteer Training @ Calumet High School!

We will have a presentation of all the DOs and DON'Ts and the chance for you and yours to handle a real sled dog team! And while we highly recommend that you show up in person, we get it that it's not always possible! So please subscribe to to watch it live or watch it later!

Northern Glow Technologies is our partner is making this feed available to all in the interwebs! And do note, oh so importantly, that not being present at the in-person training does not mean you can't, or shouldn't, volunteer! Come on! Sign up here because WE NEED YOU;



Last but not least, we would like to thank Tom Bauer @ Otter River Sled Dog Training Center and Wilderness Adventures and the Mushing Club at Michigan Tech for bringing the dogs up to Calumet and doing the hands-on part of the event!
