I am writing to provide a formal public statement regarding recent social media posts made by Jason Ray Blair (Deyoung) concerning Lents Towing. We would like to clarify the facts surrounding the recovery and impoundment of the vehicle in question.
Lents Towing was requested by Federal Wildlife Officials to remove a Ford F-250 from a Federal Game Reserve. The vehicle had been driven off-road and became buried to the fenders, causing damage to the reserve property. Due to the truck being buried to the frame and the suction created by the mud, a standard rollback was insufficient for recovery. We subsequently utilized a semi-wrecker to winch the vehicle out. The truck was then transported to our storage facility via rollback. This recovery was further complicated by the fact that there were no keys provided for the vehicle.
Per official advice, the vehicle was stored indoors to prevent potential theft or unauthorized retrieval. When Jason Ray Blair (Deyoung)attempted to retrieve the vehicle from impound, his actions at our facility resulted in him being trespassed by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at our request.
Our records indicate the vehicle carries a dealer-assigned plate registered to Midtown Motors in Benton, KY. As Mr. Blair (Deyoung) is not the owner of Midtown Motors, he does not have the legal right to retrieve the vehicle. To release the vehicle from impound, the owner of Midtown Motors must be present in person, provide valid proof of ownership, and settle all outstanding invoice balances in cash.
