This week is Agricultural Literacy Week in NY. There is nothing more pleasing than sitting with our young children in their schools are reading to them about farming and where their food comes from. Today I am in Bayside Queens and Maspeth NY.

Could not be more excited to see Doug Geed returning to our screens! 🀩

I know many of you saw the article in last week's Newsday, but if not I'm happy to announce that I'm doing some work with NewsdayTV. Being one of the original members of News 12 Long Island and working there for 37 years was a great honor and pleasure and it was with mixed emotions that I left in 2023. While I've enjoyed some relaxing times with my family and grandkids over the past two years, it's also nice being able to jump back on television.
I'm very proud of creating and hosting the East End Show for 26 years, but I'm also excited that one of the projects I'll be doing with Newsday is a new show about eastern Long Island. We're working on it right now and I hope to air our first show in a couple of weeks.
A lot of you have been asking how to watch Newsday TV. There is no channel. It's a streaming news service. The easiest way to see it is by going to Newsday's website and clicking the "TV" icon. You can also go to this link -- tv.newsday.com. In fact the picture I posted is a screen grab from a show that started airing today on things to do in the final few weeks of summer. By clicking that link you'll see it right away. My former -- and now current colleague, Elisa DiStefano -- is hosting it. My segment appears about 10-and-a-half minutes into the show.
Thank you to all the people who have been so supportive through the years. Even today, after a 2-year absence from being on air, people on a daily basis come up to me about a favorite story or episode they watched. I'm very appreciative of that and it's also very humbling. Living on Long Island is a challenge (for my family too). I assure you whether it's a story about the historic and beautiful East End, about local government and politics, or positive, light-hearted feature pieces that we're also working on, the focus will always be on providing you a product that's fair, accurate, informative and even entertaining.
