We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Fiji Airways, The Fiji Sugar Corporation Ltd, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on a groundbreaking initiative to explore the feasibility of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production in Fiji!

The project focuses on utilizing sugarcane byproducts, such as bagasse and molasses, to produce SAF. This has the potential to revolutionize the aviation industry in the Pacific by reducing carbon emissions. It will also support sustainable agriculture and create economic opportunities for local communities.

Our CEO, Jason White, emphasized, "This collaboration is a testament to the power of partnerships in addressing global challenges like climate change. We are advancing SAF production while promoting economic resilience and environmental stewardship in the Pacific."

This project positions Fiji as a potential leader in SAF development and could serve as a model for other regions.

Congratulations to Kent Goeking, PhD, Michael Lakeman, and Mukund Rao at the entire LEC Partners (formerly Lee Enterprises Consulting) SAF team!

The U.S. Department of Energy is betting big on Algae. More specifically, committing $18.8 million to advance mixed algae development for low-carbon biofuels and bioproducts.

They are investing in algae innovations that are quite underutilized because conversion is difficult due “to their variability, unique chemical make-up, and storage instability.”

From this investment, we can see that the DOE believes with dollars behind it, they can overcome these difficulties.

As I completed my annual trek to Washington DC , and once again was fortunate enough to be invited to speak, and to watch several other members of our LEC group speak to the Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Conference, it dawned on me that our adaptability of strategy, while maintaining consistency of purpose, is what keeps us at the front of our industries. Of the over 600 here, I saw several of our current clients, met many new potential clients, and talked to some really good potential experts. At Lee Enterprises Consulting, we are always looking for experts with good technical skills and people skills , and with a good work ethic and competitive drive. Our experts average over 30 years experience. What do we look for? Industry superstars who buy into our “team-first” approach. Thanks to Jim Lane for hosting such a wonderful event. Thanks to all of the LEC members who attended. I am so very proud of each of you.
