Never can get good pictures of the boys, but GRR Salute! Captain Admire My Asset is just over 4 months old and man he really impresses me. Cappy is STOUT with tons of shape. I try really hard to evaluate these bucks with the expectation of having to band them (a lot of bucks should be wethers), but for some reason the boys are always hardest to sort through. I find myself having a ā€œIā€™ll let him keep them a little longerā€ mindset šŸ˜‚. Excited to see how this dude continues to grow out.

***Explanation Post***

Why we are choosing to move forward with the HSFGR registry?

1. Our herd goals better align with the HSFGR standard and we believe there are ample amount of high quality animals out there that may not align with upcoming standards in other registry options that are more than deserving of what some would call ā€œshow qualityā€.

2. ā€œMiniā€ was never our goal. The uniqueness and long silky coat is what interested us in this breed, and while coat is high importance, keeping correct conformation and structure along with the coat is more important to us.

3. The CHOICE! Having the choice to go with a registry that better aligns with our goals is something we are grateful for! There will never be a time where everyone agrees or has the same goals as one another, that would be boring wouldnā€™t it? Itā€™s our choice to make, and thatā€™s the only explanation anyone needs from any breeder!

Thank you, Heritage Silky Fainting Goat Registry - HSFGR for giving breeders the option to choose!

GRR Eyas Sweet as P**knā€™ Honey, this doeling is just under a year old. Eyas is a feminine doe with good structure, a dang good topline, and correct feet/legs. Iā€™m excited to see how she grows out! (HSFGR Registered)

GRR Kiss Me Mohawk Honey x GRR P**k

Thank you Goats Rock Ranch Silky Fainting Goats for letting her come to OK.

Take a look at HSFGR, also our new directive. Donā€™t have to worry about size as much (we like the bigger goats). Putting an emphasis on structural and reproductive correctness, while also keeping the long flowing coat a main focus point. Check out the breed standard and see if it interests you, you can do two things at the same time!
