With all this rain heading our way, we’re about to find out just how well those driveways, ditches, and culverts are doing their jobs!

Sometimes it takes a good, heavy rain to reveal problems we didn’t even know were there.

Keep an eye on where water is flowing around your home and property, especially in areas that tend to wash out or hold water.

🚨 PROJECT COMPLETE! And yes… the drone is STILL missing. 😂🚁

Some projects are just a little more memorable than others… and this one will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Mostly because it’s where we said our final goodbyes to our drone. 💀😂. Well, the drone may be gone, but LOOK WHAT WE FINISHED! 👀🔥

This has genuinely been one of our FAVORITE projects to watch take shape! From moving dirt and reshaping the hillside to carefully grading the slopes so our customer can actually maintain and mow their property, every part of this transformation has been rewarding to watch.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how beautifully those slopes turned out?! 😍👏
There’s something incredibly satisfying about watching a piece of land completely transform into something both beautiful and functional. But what makes it even more rewarding is knowing we had the opportunity to be part of bringing that vision to life!

What made this project even more special was the people we had the pleasure of doing it for.🥹💛 We truly couldn’t have asked for more wonderful customers. Their kindness, patience, and appreciation throughout this entire process have meant more to us than they probably realize. It’s customers like these who remind us why we love what we do. When you get to work with genuinely good people and watch their vision come to life, it makes all the hard work that much more rewarding.

Our customers are thrilled with the results, and honestly, we couldn’t be happier either! We’re incredibly proud of how this one turned out!💛 More pictures to come!

And as for our drone? 🚁 At this point, we’re convinced it took one look at that view and decided it wasn’t coming home. 😂 Apparently, it loved this property just as much as we did!

First attempt at getting some drone footage of the jobsite… and, well, I got the footage. The drone? Not so much. I know for sure it’s in trees with the video I have lol. After walking what felt like half of West Virginia looking for it, I finally had to call it quits. 😂

So just remember, trust Valley Dirt Worx with your dirt work. Trust us with your excavation. Trust us with your drainage.
But apparently… don’t trust us with aviation. 🤣

If anybody happens to see a lonely little drone laying in a field, tree, ditch, holler, or somewhere it has absolutely no business being… please call Joey at (304) 887-2105. We just want our little employee back. 🤣

Just because it’s taking longer doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. 💪

Building something from the ground up takes time. There are good days, hard days, setbacks, long hours, and plenty of moments when you wonder if you’re getting anywhere at all.

But you keep showing up. You keep putting in the work. You keep moving a little more dirt every day. 🚜

Sometimes progress doesn’t look the way you thought it would, and sometimes the road takes a whole lot longer than you planned.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re still building.

To every small business owner, dreamer, or anyone working toward something bigger, keep going.

Because as long as you refuse to quit, your story isn’t finished yet.

Happy Labor Day, y’all! 🇺🇸

Labor Day looks a little different when you own a small business… we are spending ours with the equipment running and dirt moving. 😂🚜

But that’s what today is really about, the people who get up, work hard, provide for their families, and keep things moving day after day.

To all the farmers, miners, truck drivers, equipment operators, tradesmen, small business owners, first responders, healthcare workers, teachers, and everyone else who puts in an honest day’s work, today is for you.

Some work underground. Some work behind a wheel. Some swing a hammer. Some run equipment. Some work nights, weekends, holidays, or whatever hours it takes to get the job done.

No matter what your work looks like, there’s something worth being proud of in coming home tired knowing you gave the day everything you had.

We’re mighty thankful for the work that keeps food on our table, for the customers who trust our little family business, and for every person out there doing the same for theirs.

If you’re off today, enjoy every minute of it, you earned it.

And if you’re working like us… well, we hope somebody at least saves you a plate. 😂🇺🇸
