It’s not too late to get your fall food plots ready for deer season!

Deer season is right around the corner and food plots can be the ultimate attraction in the fall months when food starts to become less available.

We helped this customer clear 2 food plots in a sea of golden rod and invasive autumn olive to give the deer more nutrients and attraction as season arrives.

Heavy rain had been washing out this 180 foot driveway, making it hard to maintain and use. We corrected the grade, compact the sub-base, installed drainage swales to move water away from the driveway, and finished it #57 limestone. The result is a driveway that drains properly, looks great, and no more ruts that leave vehicles dirty.

This homeowner had a new well drilled and installed, 20 tons of clay material to export and a yard that needed to be reshaped and stabilized.

We regraded the entire area, hauled and spread the material, established proper drainage, and finished everything off with seed and straw to give the new lawn the best chance to thrive.

Not every food plot needs to be sprayed.

One of the most common mistakes I see is assuming a food plot is failing as soon as grasses and w**ds start showing up.

This clover and chicory plot was beginning to get crowded by competing vegetation, but instead of reaching for a sprayer, a simple maintenance mowing was all it needed.

Maintenance mowing can:
✔ Reduce w**d competition
✔ Encourage fresh clover growth
✔ Promote chicory production
✔ Improve forage quality
✔ Extend the life of a perennial food plot

Sometimes the best solution isn’t starting over—it’s managing what you already have.

This food plot started as an overgrown area with limited value for wildlife. With some planning, equipment, and habitat-focused management, it was transformed into a productive destination food source that’s already providing excellent forage.

From thick brush to a future food plot.

This area had become overgrown with dense vegetation and was no longer serving much purpose. After some planning and machine work, we were able to open it up and create a usable food plot location that will provide both wildlife habitat and hunting opportunities for years to come.

Projects like this are some of my favorites because it’s rewarding to see a property transformed and put back to work.
