BREAKING VA News!!! Finally good news!

The VA has rescinded the Interim Final Rule on Medication. It will not be applied or reintroduced.

In the decision, the VA cited “commentators concerns” (that’s us, Veterans) and a reason for rescinding.

WE DID THIS, not a politician on our behalf.

Stay informed and act.

BREAKING NEWS: an internal memo dated February 13, 2026, from Secretary of the VA Doug Collins was leaked by a VA employee.

The memo instructed the Under Secretaries of the VHA & VBA to begin the immediate consolidation and centralization of the two largest organizational components within the VA. This is likely the first step in privatizing the VA system. This would impact all of us.

This was intended to be executed behind closed doors with no oversight from Congress or input from Veterans.

1. Every Veteran has 1 U.S. Representative and 2 U.S. Senators; call their local offices and ask why this is occurring and express your concerns.

MAJOR UPDATE TO THE VA’s INTERIM RULE!

02/18/2026

On February 17, 2026, the VA published an interim final rule amending 38 CFR 4.10.

The rule mandates that disability ratings be based on a veteran’s actual functional impairment as medicated, rather than the severity of the underlying condition without treatment. If medication or treatment lowers the level of disability, the rating will reflect that lowered level. The VA bypassed the standard notice-and-comment rulemaking process, making the rule effective immediately upon publication.
This directly overrides the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims’ decision in Ingram v.
Collins (2025), which held that the ameliorative effects of medication should be discounted when rating disabilities under diagnostic codes that do not explicitly reference medication as a rating criterion.

If you’re on the Burn Pit Registry, if you submitted a PACT Act Claim or you have Toxic Exposure Risk Activity (TERA) as defined by the VA, this will impact you directly.

The Ranking Member of the Committee on Veterans Affairs has submitted a bill, The Presumptive CLARITY Act of 2025. This bill would create transparency for the enormous amount of data the VA collects on the aforementioned programs.

This bill would impact all of us and would directly save our lives and most certainly save lives in the future.

This is one of the most underrated & underutilized aspects of the Post 9/11 GI Bill.

You only need to take one class in person to rate the full BAH amount as a full time student.

This would enable you to potentially have a full time or part time job while working through school.

4. GI Bill CAN cover pilot programs however, you are required to have a private pilots license. BR&E may be a good option for pilot training if you don’t have a pilots license. If you’re interested in becoming a pilot, join the Facebook Group RTAG Nation - the best resource for Veterans and AD pursuing flight training.
