Tuesday morning update!
Doctor says they are switching to a 3-4 weeks directed intervenes antibiotics effort.
It may start here in the hospital and then with pic line plus home care, I may be going home.
He said they are still waiting on test results to hold a team meeting to finalize my care plans.

Monday noon update:
A 2nd Ortho team doctor said I won’t be able to go home until I have 3 consecutive days of clean blood cultures.
She didn’t think surgery would be necessary.
The power of prayers combined with strong antibiotics are helping.

Hey everybody, here’s Monday morning’s update:
An Ortho Team doctor said they needed to wait for more culture readings to determine whether or not to do a clean out or additional surgery.
The Ortho Team would also be in consultation with the Infectious Disease doctors to see how the antibiotics are doing, how long I might be here and how long I might need a pic line when I go home.

Hey Everybody!
This is Billy. I’m just sending you an update. I was scheduled for surgery Saturday morning but the surgery was cancelled. And, we finally got some answers today. My leg is infected. But the major concern is I have a strep staph infection in my blood stream. The main focus at this point is treating the infection in my blood. The hardware may be able to stay in my leg. This will be determined later. They are treating me with heavy IV antibiotics. Please keep me in your prayers! Love you all!
