Pitkin Winterrowd Farms ¬A Brief Farm Introduction………

Our 21 acre Farm has allowed us to bring our
personal assets of Labor, Capital and Management Skills to the land.

Must say
the Farm has taxed all three assets beyond
our wildest dreams or should I say “plans”. May this forum share working farm life,
Help create new customers and inform
and strengthen existing customer relations. At the same time doing it in a humorous and
engaging manner. Creativity, innovation, self introspection and
hardwork are all life experiences farming exercises. The daily learning o

f how one can
take water, soil, nutrients and seed with the
energy of the sun and create life is an amazing
event. Farm life in the 1920’s and 1930’s provides us
the guidelines to many of our current farm practices. As then we farm with heirloom seeds,
cover crops, crop rotation, organic soil amendments and seed saving. We raise swine for meat, vegetables for sale in the fall/winter and fruit is harvested and sold
in the fall. More on this to follow. All this is done with the help of loyal customers on-going support and the technical and material
support of our farms vendors. Thank you folks!
