So this was done to one of my sample panels. One of my representatives in Connecticut who I just sent sample panels of a NIJ level III armor panel system with a
core thickness of 1 1/8”
core weight 11 lbs per sf
Wood /epoxy resins decorative
look thickness with core 1 3/4”
Wood panel weight 12.4 lbs per sf
Rated for NIJ III
After receiving the armor panel my representative calls me 20 minutes before getting ready to test fire the Armor panel and stated that he wanted to shoot it with a Baywolf .50 caliber . I explained to him that the panel is only rated for an NIJ III and that a Baywolf 50 caliber would be considered a level IV +. and pe*****te right through like butter. 

Well at this point our Phoenix Armor panel system is stopping a lot more than what I thought it could ever do. This is clearly becoming next level Armor. Lightweight, thinner then most all conventional armor systems. A high multiple hit capacity. Phoenix Armor Panels far exceed industry standards of five shots, to an average level of 50 shots per square foot. In all my years in the defense industry I’ve never seen an armored panel take that many shots. .
