We offer wine tastings daily during all of our regular hours. You may choose a tasting of a flight of your favorite wines. No reservations are necessary for groups under 10. Just step in and let our friendly and knowledgeable staff guide you through your tasting experience.

We believe in sustainable practices here at Cannon River Vineyard and always try our best to give back to the land that gives to us!

One of the best ways to replenish beneficial nutrients and bacteria in the soil, especially after a fruitful season, is to allow sheep to graze your vineyard. This is a standard in Burgundy France and Napa Valley and all over the world. The sheep will convert ALL the weeds that have sprouted in the past month, the long grass/clover that we haven't mowed since netting in August, and even the newly fallen grapevine leaves into fertilizer! Great way to jumpstart the next season!

This crew was ready to go this morning. We picked one ton of Frontenac Gris and almost two tons of Frontenac Noir in just a couple hours. Luckily the rain held off! Great start to the last weekend of harvest!

We picked another block of Marquette grapes yesterday morning. A little chilly start, 44 degrees at sunrise. Perfect temperature for the grapes to be arriving at our cellar door, however. They were immediately crushed and pumped into a tank, where they will spend the next few weeks fermenting before getting pressed and aged in barrel.

Good to get all these grapes in before tomorrow's rain. Don't worry, we saved a section in the West Block for this weekend's harvest crew!

Early morning at the vineyard. Only 48 degrees at sunrise. That's 16 degrees away from freezing folks!

Today we harvested the rest of our La Crescent and Louise Swenson. Took a little over an hour to pick 7T by machine. Good to get it in before the rain. Just starting to drizzle!
