You can’t get what you want most by staying where you are.

No matter what the economy is like or who is on your team, you are the one responsible for achieving your goals.

So what are you doing to make them a reality?

This testimonial from Angie shows the power of investing in your skills.

If you find yourself struggling to meet your sales goals, or maybe you’re an entrepreneur with no sales training at all, I want to see you at our one-day Sales Academy on February 22.

You’re not a bad salesperson.

I know you’re wondering if you’ll ever earn enough in commissions to take your family on that dream vacation or replace your old vehicle.

You may be wondering if the economy is the problem or even if you should consider a different career.

But I’m here to tell you not to give up yet. You got into this career for a reason. I’m willing to bet that you can be successful- if you get the right training.

That’s why I’m excited to open enrollment to our one-day sales academy! Join us February 22 as we dive into the sales cycle and reveal the practices that lead to sales success.

For an investment of $500, you’ll learn…
… How to identify your ideal client and capture their attention
… Why phone prospecting is still a valuable and necessary skill.
… The question you’re not asking that’s costing you new leads.
… And objection handling techniques that actually work.

Plus, I’m sharing the secret questions I used to uncover my prospects’ buying motives and go from being a truck driver to an executive with 20 years of sales experience.

You’ll get the confidence to immediately apply these industry secrets to your sales process. If you consistently apply these principles, I know that your life will look different at the end of this year.

If you’re ready to invest in yourself, your family, and your future, register today at jeffhancher.com.

I can’t wait to see you there.

Don’t worry, this list will work with any budget.

1. Feedback

Yes, feedback is a gift! The feedback you give doesn’t just influence your employee’s job performance, it shapes their career and personal life as well. Leaders who withhold feedback are doing their teams a great disservice.

2. Appreciation

If you’re thankful for someone, let them know! Writing letters or stopping by their desk for a moment can go a long way. One other way to do this is to write a letter to their spouse or family sharing what a great job they are doing.

3. Mentorship

Give your employees a practical way to grow. If you struggle with mentorship, there is nothing wrong with helping connect them with someone who can be a mentor. Either way, providing accountability and helping your employees work toward their goals will help you build a strong relationship with them.

Some of the most important people in my life would not have met the world’s definition of “success.”

They didn’t have fancy houses or go on lavish vacations.

They didn’t sit in the corner office. Actually, one of them never even worked a job.

But they did give me tough feedback.

They pushed me to see myself not as a boy raised in poverty, but as a man with something to offer to the world.

They invested over and over, even when it didn’t look like their efforts were making a difference.

(If you don’t know who I’m talking about, make sure you check out today’s new episode of the Champion Forum Podcast.)

The thing is that success is often self-focused, but significance is others-focused.

I don’t know about you, but I want a legacy that lasts long after I’m gone.

I want to help people grow and achieve their goals for their individual families.

But all of that means seeing leadership not as a career, but as a calling.

If this is something you want to do but you’re not sure where to start, I want you to join me on February 15, 2024 for Performance Management, a one-day intensive leadership training.

You’ll learn how to give effective feedback and create a significant impact in those around you.

I always ask my mentees two questions:

What does success look like for you?
And what are you going to do to ensure you achieve it?

The reality is that many people have big dreams- that’s not the hard part.

The part where most people get stuck is taking action.

That’s why I love hosting this workshop in February. If you are a leader who wants to see greater results in 2024, I want to see you in the room on February 15.

You’ll gain the confidence to hold your team accountable and set clear expectations.

You’ll understand what drives your employees, (spoiler alert: it’s not the same as what drives you!) and how to engage their motivation.

Plus, you’ll learn it all while networking and connecting with other leaders.

This event will sell out, so secure your spot today by visiting jeffhancher.com

See you there.

What if you could leverage your employees’ personal goals to actually help your company?

That’s exactly what an IDP does!

Individual development plans clearly define an employees’ goals and give them a path to success.

Instead of being given to the employee, like in a performance review, an IDP is created collaboratively.

Your employee sees a path to professional and personal success.

You, as the leader, get the benefit of greater engagement, improved succession planning, and a more equipped workforce.

If that sounds good to you and you want the IDP template we give our clients, comment IDP and I’ll send you a link to download this resource for free!

There are no shortcuts.

If you want to be a great leader, serve right where you are!

I believe at the heart of every great leader is the desire to serve and serve well. The great news about this level of preparation is that you don’t need a title to do it.

Begin now.

Serve at your company by asking for special assignment. Serve at your church or a local non profit. There are opportunities everywhere.

Servant leaders intentionally focus on identifying and meeting the needs of others. This is what motivates them to influence and lead rather than to acquire power, wealth, popularity and fame for themselves.

Serve well!
