Why Donate or Recycle Electronics

Electronic products are made from valuable resources and materials, including metals, plastics, and glass, all of which require energy to mine and manufacture. Donating or recycling consumer electronics conserves our natural resources and avoids air and water pollution, as well as greenhouse gas emissions that are caused by manufacturing virgin materials.

For example:

* Recycling one million laptops saves the energy equivalent to the electricity used by more than 3,500 US homes in a year.

* For every million cell phones we recycle, 35 thousand pounds of copper, 772 pounds of silver, 75 pounds of gold and 33 pounds of palladium can be recovered.

Warehouse Associate

Purpose:

The warehouse associate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the warehouse, while supporting the sales operation, the electronic scrap operation. They will keep product moving through the pipeline through processing product deemed for disposition and processing product at the evaluation point.

Responsibilities will include the following:

Disassembling and accurately sorting product in the disposition line
Reorganization of inventory shelves
Assist in customer product pick ups
Check in of incoming product via computer check in sheets.
Mange multiple tool programs

Maintaining and managing the scrap area, including assembling gaylords, labeling, and notifying management when capacity is reached
Unloading the truck of incoming product and checking it in
Staging and labeling checked in product appropriately• Working with the ecommerce staff to assure the product pipeline is full
Inventorying product and assigning it locations
Keeping the warehouse as tidy and clean as possible
Notifying management of material requirements.

Qualifications
• High school diploma
• Experience working in a warehouse setting for at least 2 years, or
equivalent experience
• Proven demonstration of attention to detail and listening skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements
• Confidence in computer skill ability

Ecommerce Associate

We are seeking an ecommerce associate to join our ecommerce staff in bringing product to market. We market product through various channels, which include the major ecommerce platforms, industry specific trading floors, direct, and in the local market. The main responsibilities of this position can be thought of in three phases, the pre-listing phase, the post-listing phase and the post-sale phase. In phase 1, the pre-listing phase, you will be responsible for the following:

• Evaluating product in the warehouse diligently and carefully

• Carefully examining product for defects

• Researching product thoroughly

• Collaborating with your teammates about any questions that might arise

• Describing the product’s features and condition honestly

• Pricing the product accurately
• Cleaning the product thoroughly
• Assigning a warehouse location to the product

• Accurately determining the weight and dimensions of the product

• Maintaining accurate data on your productivity

All of this will culminate to a live, ecommerce listing that will be exposed to millions of people. In the post-listing phase and after your training period, your responsibility will be the following:

• Honestly answering questions related to technical specs

• Honestly answering questions related to lead times and shipping costs

• Educating customers on alternative options

Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• Experience in customer service is preferred

• Experience in sales, online or direct, is preferred

• Must be able to lift heavy objects, up to 60 pounds

• Willing to work in a warehouse setting that is subject to the environment
