After many years of working in the towing and recovery industry, Michael Frederick decided to pursue his dream of owning his own towing company. Starting off as a one-truck company, Interstate Wrecker Service Inc. slowly added to its fleet. After a few years, Interstate grew to be a powerhouse in the towing and recovery industry. ate Wrecker took on many services. Building their fleet with the most technologically advanced equipment, Interstate became capable of performing a multitude of jobs. From towing cars for dealerships, performing emergency road service for AAA and other motor clubs, towing buses and coaches, to towing disabled tractor trailers or transporting heavy machinery, Interstate is willing to do it all. Interstate applied to the Mass State Police, to be put on their rotation of tow companies for highway services. To begin with, Interstate was given a half mile stretch of highway. After several years of professional service, and many add-ons of tow area, Interstate Wrecker now has almost 50 miles of highway and 30 miles of back roads for three State Police barracks. Police agencies from other towns also use the services of Interstate. Interstate has recovered many rolled over tractor trailers throughout their years in service. Through training and purchasing the finest equipment, Interstate is capable of serving the needs of their customers. Interstate Wrecker’s employees are trained, both in-house and through tow industry entities. Drivers for Interstate are put through stringent back ground checks both through law enforcement and through AAA themselves. Professional drivers, modern equipment and training, and the passion for working in the tow industry are what have kept Interstate Wrecker Service going and growing through the years, and will keep the company going into the future.
