Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message. The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too. For they heard them speaking in other tongues and praising God. Then Peter asked, “Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?” So he gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Afterward Cornelius asked him to stay with them for several days.

PRAISE REPOST FROM 2019

Could you imagine the opportunity to have prayed in the garden with Jesus and selectively provided your prayer list? How exceptional would it feel to be close to him as he laid your life struggles on the throne of God. Or to have felt the dampness of all your many tears bring nourishment to the Garden of Gethsemane’s olive trees. How fantastic this opportunity would have been, but it would not have altered that your presence would yet be insignificant. Christ’s humility that day to take on the sins of the entire world gave power to eternal victory!

Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.” And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.
