Sometimes it's nice to be nice!

I scanned a random section of an old negative from 1948...long abandoned and discarded... well I happened to save it 30+ years ago...stored in with some "stuff" and finaly decided to do something with it. The picture was taken 72 years ago...

I then posted it on the World Wide Web ...And I get a response from a guy saying that's my dad on the bow of that tugboat!... Next thing you know two other people chime in on the conversation... All Tide to this one picture many decades ago. Some of them know each other some of them know each other's fathers and grandparents absolutely amazing.

Who would have thought that there was a chance of someone scanning a few minute grains of film... in a minuscule portion of a picture .. would then be posted on the internet - and found bu his son!

This Thank you note was from that mans son.
..the chances of that happening have got to be astronomical! and I was glad to be a part of it.
