Monitoring your home when you are away. About Us

We are Marty & Jenny Austin owners of Sun Seeker Home Watch. Originally from Minnesota, we still own a cabin in Northern Minnesota which is 3 ½ hours from where we lived. Over the years we began to realize the need to have someone local to check on our property after storms, mow our lawn or help us with small projects...the problem was we couldn’t

find anyone that we could trust to show up and there were no “home/cabin watch” services we could hire to help us. This is when our interest in starting a home watch business began. Marty is a proud veteran having served 21 years in the Navy and recently retired from the United States Postal Service having worked in IT. Jenny is a nurse with 20+ years in the healthcare industry and has a passion for caring for others as though they were her own family and friends. We both love to remodel homes and have extensive experience remodeling our entire home and cabin. These experiences have given us the knowledge and tools necessary to be very thorough and pay attention to even the smallest of details. We are a Veteran owned family business that focuses on Honesty, Integrity and Attention to Detail. Family is our number one priority! We strive to treat all of our clients as part of our family and care for their homes as if they were our own family members. We take pride in our business and accreditation through National Home Watch Association. We are bonded and insured to give our client's the confidence and trust their homes are in good hands. Myers and Sanibel. Please contact us to set up a free consultation and develop a service plan personalized to your needs.

: Tropical Storm forms near the Texas Coast, first storm of the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The name doesn't change the main impact...flooding from heavy rain, which has already occurred. I'll continue to keep you updated.

TROPICAL UPDATE: First NHC area of the season is in the Southwestern Gulf. Here's the latest as of Wednesday morning:

1) After Tropical Storm (Pacific) makes landfall in Central America and falls apart, the leftovers will head into the Southwestern Gulf / Bay of Campeche.

2) From the Cristina remnants, the NHC is currently giving a small 10% chance of development. Those odds are subject to change, either up or down.

3) *IF* it does develop, it would be weak. Regardless, rain and flooding are the main issues whether it forms or not for northern Mexico and even parts of South Texas.

4) No threat to Florida! Overall, nothing to freak out about. I'll continue to get you the latest 24/7 with no hype, just the facts.

Summer travel season is here, and for many homeowners that means spending more time away from their property.

Before extended travel, many homeowners make arrangements for someone to check on their home and help keep them informed while they’re away.

NHWA-accredited Home Watch providers perform visual checks and report what they observe so homeowners can stay connected to their property during the busy travel season.

Plan ahead before your next trip with an NHWA-accredited Home Watch provider.

Not every issue at a home is dramatic or immediately obvious.

Sometimes it’s a loose gutter, standing water, a damaged screen, or a gate left open after a storm or vendor visit.
When homeowners are away, small visible issues can easily go unnoticed.

NHWA-accredited Home Watch providers perform visual checks and report what they observe so homeowners can stay informed about their property.

Choose an NHWA-accredited Home Watch provider who helps you stay informed before small issues become bigger problems.

You don’t think twice when you leave: Everything looks fine, you lock up and go.
But things don’t always stay that way when no one’s checking. That’s why having someone keep an eye on your home matters more than people expect.

Take a closer look at NHWA-accredited Home Watch providers.
