Your Gordonville firefighters were called to Acee’s Gas Station yesterday morning to address a hazard created by a road contractor.

Tiny glass beads used in reflective road paint had been spilled in front of pumps one and the front entry way, creating an extremely slick surface and a potential hazard for vehicles and customers in the area.

The Gordonville crew washed down the affected portion of the parking lot, removing the beads and eliminating the hazard before anyone was injured.

‼️There is a Marginal Risk of scattered strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and early evening for much of Missouri.
‼️Damaging winds up to around 60 mph are the primary threat.
‼️Large hail is also possible, but less likely.

Your Gordonville Firefighters were called to the Acee’s Gas Station on Route K for a dumpster on fire.

Engine 3612 and Tanker 3615 responded and arrived on scene to extinguish the fire.
The dumpster was 30 feet away from the business so no structures were in danger.
Units returned to service once overhaul was complete.

Your Gordonville Firefighters were dispatched to a residential CO alarm sounding in the 4500 block of State Highway 25.

Engine 3612, Tanker 3615, and Command Buggy 3600 responded an arrived on scene.

After monitoring the interior of the structure. The presence of CO was found. Gordonville members, turned off the residential propane tank to the house and ventilated the structure to make the interior safe for the occupants.

Your Gordonville Firefighters were dispatched to a grass fire at the intersection of CR 319 and Route K.

Units responded and arrived on scene to find a small grass fire on the side of CR 319.
The grass fire was extinguished before the fire was able to spread to a nearby field.

Rescue 3616 responded and arrived on scene to provide medical care services.

Firefighter Truschel is assigned to Station 1 with the DSN of 3672. He is currently in the EMT Program and plans to take the Firefighter 1&2 Course next year.
We are excited to have you on our department.
