Canedy Sign & Graphics is expanding our Sign Installation Team and requires physically fit, self-motivated, mechanical, and resourceful individuals looking to work in a team environment to illuminate the Southeast Missouri area with business identities created by our in-house production team.

JOB DUTIES:
Operate equipment such as a crane, ladder trucks, forklifts, aerial equipment and work at extreme heights utilizing proper PPE to install and service custom signs and components

Possess mechanical abilities to use a welder, power and non-power tools, digging equipment, and stabilization components in all seasonal conditions

Survey new signage areas with accurate measurements, drawings, and documentation

Measure properly and read/communicate measurements; perform accurate math calculations; learn and comprehend blueprints, manuals, procedures, and instructions

Drive a company vehicle traveling to business locations in the tri-state area safely transporting various exterior and interior signage components for install

Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment following company protocol, procedures, ethics, all laws and regulations for safe driving and equipment operation using PPE

Professionally represent Canedy Sign & Graphics when working with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, account managers, sales and production teams, and administration

Work in a team atmosphere maintaining relationships and communications with all support departments; work as a team on-site assisting other team members in the installation and service of various custom signage, designs, and their components

Work independently on smaller jobs, take responsibility, handle high-pressure situations, adhere to schedules, and uphold all safety standards utilizing PPE

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must:
Be able to stay stationary for long periods, move about the plant, and position self to work

Be capable of lifting/team-lifting, moving, and carrying 50 - 150 pounds

Have the ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps, poles and not be height inhibited

Communicate over surrounding noise

Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling and navigate uneven surfaces

Possess the ability to constantly position oneself to service and install signage, sometimes at great heights and/or small spaces

Have accurate close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus

Handle vehicular traffic and safely navigate the Install Trucks and trailers

Not be afraid of heights

Adhere to all safety policies and utilize PPE

Work year-round in every seasonal environment - sun, rain, and snow - operating from high, outdoor places to tight, indoor spaces while carrying tools and equipment

Work a flexible schedule with possible overtime and overnight travel

WHAT IS REQUIRED?
• High school or high school equivalent diploma
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no restrictions
• DOT medical card
• Pass a welding test
• Class B CDL license (or willing to obtain)
• OSHA10 certification a plus
• 2-4+ years’ experience in sign industry preferred

POSITION SUMMARY: As a Sign Installer, you will be responsible for being a team player in the installation/service of various custom signage, designs, & their components. You will be driving a company vehicle to client locations & installing/servicing various types of signage, lighting, & components. You will be operating various equipment, working at heights, utilizing proper PPE, & working in all weather conditions. Communication with customers, subcontractors, & suppliers is required. Must be able to work & communicate with sales team & production crew to meet the customer’s needs and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Work safely & efficiently in a fast paced environment
•Document inventory/material used
•Safe transport & installation of various interior & exterior signage
•Following all laws & regulations in safe driving & work environment
•Maintain & operate crane, ladder trucks, forklifts & aerial equipment
•Use power/non-power & measurement tools
•Perform on-site welding to secure signs & poles
•Perform electrical wiring
•Work with concrete/sand/dirt/sakrete
•Clean install area, including removal & proper disposal of installation debris
•Measure properly & read/communicate measurements
•Operate a computer & read/understand electronic communications
•Learn & comprehend blueprints, manuals, procedures, etc & follow instructions
•Perform accurate math calculations
•Properly diagnose & repair all signage, including structural, electrical, & aesthetic issues.
•Survey new signage areas with accurate measurements, drawings, & documentation
•Maintain & clean trucks & service area
•Lift/team-lift/move, load, & unload all supplies & signs up to 150 lbs– utilize powered lifts for heavier loads
•Perform operations, such as rewiring & removing defective parts & installing new parts
•Completion photos once signage is installed & operational. Document all work performed.
•Communicate professionally with client, subcontractor, suppliers, sales representative, production manager, & management team
•Responsible for maintaining, proper utilization, & storage protection of all safety equipment
•Responsible for truck inventory & being prepared with all necessary tools, safety equipment, supplies, & signage parts for each job
•Maintain documentation for truck trip reports, inspections, & maintenance requests
•Assisting other team members including production crew

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
•High School or GED diploma
•Installers MUST be able to get a DOT medical card & have a valid & current driver’s license with a clean driving record with no restrictions – NO exceptions
•Ability to pass a welding test
•2-4+ years’ experience in sign industry preferred
•Class B CDL license is a plus – Must be willing to obtain their CDL license
•OSHA10 certification a plus
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to understand & follow verbal & written instructions
•Willingness to learn new industry installation procedures & techniques
•Ability to learn & interpret drawings as well as a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
•Ability to learn & interpret various documents such as safety rules, operation & maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, & related documentation
•Ability to work independently & take responsibility
•Ability to handle pressure situations & work in fast paced environment – maintaining schedules with quality work
•Ability to assist, communicate, & work with others as a team player
•Ability to work in all weather conditions including extreme weather
•Have an understanding of computers & technology

Router Technician

POSITION TITLE: Router Technician
POSITION SUMMARY: As a Router Technician, you will be responsible for being a team player in the manufacturing process of various custom signage, designs, and their components. You will be responsible for setting up and running the router.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
•Ability to work with other team members and be flexible with the changing work environment pertaining to each job
•Document inventory/material used in manufacturing process
•Operate various equipment and willing to learn new techniques and machinery

Position Summary: Printing & Vinyl Technician – perform all tasks involved in the printing process of customer-approved artwork for digital printing on a variety of substrates using EFI and HP printers. This position converts supplied art into high quality finished signs and sign components.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Prepare artwork and database files for digital printing
• Modify electronic, customer-approved art files to assure proper format, appearance, and layout per job details and digital printer specifications.
• Verify quality of layout prints, proofs, and files by evaluating spelling, content, and prepress standards with consistency across projects.
• Incorporate all printer specifications in files including marks, registration, and distortion curves to achieve the desired product.
• Make recommendations for process improvement.
• Review job tickets for production; plan and process accordingly to meet established timelines.
• Communicate effectively with fellow employees to coordinate production and delivery of finished signs.
• Perform related duties as needed by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Illustrator,Photoshop) and / or Corel Draw.
• Familiarity with DXF, EPS, and PDF file formats.
• Basic knowledge (or ability to learn) of sign construction with ability to read construction drawings
• Must be flexible and team oriented
• Work effectively across the organization and foster teamwork
• Detail oriented, able to accurately produce and proofread work
• Vinyl experience preferred
• Regularly required to lift and/or move 50-75 pounds and move it at least 50 feet

Minimum Requirements:
