I’ve photographed a few of these in my career!😁

If you've never been to a Pennsylvania firehall wedding reception, let me break it down for you:

The DJ’s playing “Electric Slide” for the 6th time, Uncle Ron’s doing keg stands in his dress socks, and someone’s pop just got into a fistfight over the last cabbage roll. The bride’s still wearing her sparkly gown, but she’s got barbecue sauce on the veil and her flip flops are from Dollar General.

Every kid under 12 is sliding across the linoleum like it’s the Winter Olympics, and there’s a tray of ziti on every table like it's part of the décor. Someone definitely brought a crockpot of kielbasa "just in case," and the cookie table looks like a sugar-fueled arms race between Aunt Patty and Nana Helen.

It’s not just a reception. It’s a hoagie-fueled fever dream. And the fire chief is absolutely hammered but still somehow trying to do crowd control.

This is love. This is chaos. This is Pennsylvania.
