When you hear things like “Corporate Responsibility” you may instinctively want to roll your eyes - but we’re here to say: We believe in the power of corporate responsibility and how it can truly change lives. This most recent project is a shining example of what CRI’s can really do when done right:

We partnered with a major corporation in Bellevue, WA, to help them redeploy 8,586 pieces of surplus furniture over just six weeks and accomplish their CRI goals for the year. We were able to tackle some super sticky logistics to access their offices in a city with limited truck access. It required careful planning and coordination with de-installation teams to make sure everything ran smoothly.

BUT - Our team did it. They managed to maneuver 15 53-foot dry vans to ensure the load-out was efficient and timely without interrupting downtown flow or nearby locations.

The results?

203,936 pounds of furniture were redirected to nonprofit organizations all over. This helped local communities, helped our client get closer to their CRI goal AND saved them from spending over $60,000 in disposal costs.
By hiring us, they helped divert over 100 tons of materials from landfills, prevent harmful emissions and achieve an estimated 502,169 kg CO2e offset.

Through this project, we diverted over 11 tons of materials from landfills, achieving an estimated CO2e offset of 123,807 kg—equivalent to 14,000 gallons of gas, 136,000 lbs of coal burned, and 316,645 miles driven in a car!

Avalon K-12, part of the Long Beach Unified School District, marked its centennial by upgrading its campus and partnering with Furniture Reuse Solutions to redistribute 855 pieces of surplus furniture.

Our team faced unique logistical challenges, ensuring timely delivery before the school year began. This collaboration not only saved the district from storage and disposal costs but also donated furniture to support humanitarian efforts in Somalia.
